TalkingCards.COM is all about touching lives, sharing laughter, and helping people express themselves in new ways. We want our users to share the happiness we experience in creating our cards and make sending ecards an easy, enjoyable, and convenient experience. If you need help with something, please read through the FAQs section for answers to common questions, or you may contact support. At TalkingCards.COM you can simply type what you want our ( many characters ) to say. Our characters will happily repeat your message to anyone you like. Talking Cards are received via email through our easy do-it-yourself system. To send a talking card, load up the character you wish to send, then customize it as much or as little as you like. When you're all done, click the "Send Button". We provide you with a pickup link matching each card you've made. The pickup links can be emailed to one or multiple recipients using your own client-side or web-based email program. To email a card, you simply copy & paste the link we provide you with, then email it to friends & family. This way, you can "make sure" they always get the card you've made for them.

We also provide Talking Cards that can speak with your very own recorded voice. Voice recordings are done easily through a phone call. It's just like leaving a voice mail. We record what you say ( or you could sing ) over the phone. Once your voice has been recorded, we lip sync your audio to the character. The whole process takes only a matter of seconds. Many users sing over the phone which makes an even more personal greeting to share with family. One of the most challenging aspects in creating Talking Cards is the ability to provide many different voice synthesis engines. TalkingCards.COM satisfies this need by supplying you with a great selection to choose from. We offer both male and female voices that sound young, old, excited, deep, high pitch, shouty, whispery, and more! Each card is capable of using any voice that we supply. This flexibility allows you the interchange our voice synthesis engines with each character in order to generate the perfect sentiment that matches the expression you're looking to send. While we do provide some cards that can be sent for free ( w/ads attached ), our best content and services are available only if you have an access key. Here at TalkingCards.COM, we charge a small one-time fee that allows you to send unlimited talking cards ( w/no ads attached) to as many people as you wish. You never have to worry about your recipients seeing flashy banners or popups, and your key unlocks all of our premium content / characters for you as well. 1.) Please watch your spelling to make sure you don't make mistakes. A simple typo can ruin the message you're trying to send. That being said, sometimes it works in your favor to misspell words on purpose. For instance, you might type: "SeeYa" instead of "See You Later" to get a better match to your intention. You can also use periods .... to extend a longer pause after each word or sentence. Using ........... would cause the character to pause for several seconds before repeating the rest of your message. To help combat problems with typos, our cards use a real-time spell checking interface that lets you know if a word is misspelled as you type it. Offering spelling suggestions along the way to help you make the character vocalize your message with more precision. TalkingCards.COM is best viewed with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista using Firefox 1.5+ or MSIE 6.0+. TalkingCards.COM is also compatible with Opera 9.0 or higher. Your screen resolution should be set to 1024x768 pixels or higher. For those of you who are still using the smaller resolutions like 800x600, TalkingCards.COM will adjust to work the best it can. However, we strongly recommend increasing your screen resolution to 1024x768 by going into your Control Panel and adjusting your Display properties. You'll find that most of the newer sites across the Internet are best viewed with a larger resolution. TalkingCards.COM is also known to be compatible with newer versions of the Safari browser on the Macintosh operating system, and also Firefox 1.5+ on some Macs. TalkingCards.COM will only function properly if you have the Flash plugin installed. Flash is normally pre-installed when you buy a computer. However, if you need to download Flash, or update to the latest version of Flash, please click here. As you can probably imagine, building cards & characters that can say anything you type is a very challenging task! Our extensive list of developers include text-to-speech technology experts, artists, script writers, illustrators, database managers, web programmers, and flash gurus.
